The city tour will take us to the three royal cities of Nepal, viz. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
The setting of Kathmandu Durbar Square is the Kumari Temple, Basantapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Thamel. Kathmandu, the capital city, is now a crowded place with much modernization. Though progress and changes have altered the look of Kathmandu, the inner city and historically and culturally important places and the tales behind them remain intact.
The other two cities, Patan and Bhaktapur are also part of the Kathmandu valley. Both the places are famous for the wood carving, stone carving, architecture of the temples and palaces situated there. Numerous Buddhist and Hindu temples that were constructed centuries back still exist in these places.
In Kathmandu, spending some time in Thamel is worth. Thamel can be introduced as the centre of the tourist industry. The place is easy for food, handicrafts, music shops and several hangout spots.
