Trip Introduction

Dhawalagiri I (8,167 meters,26,795 feets) Seventh heighest:This spectacular peak’s name means ,benignly enough,the “White Mountain”but the Dhawalagiri has come to be known as the mountain of stroms and sorrows. Althrough the first of the 8,000 meters peak’s to be attemped by the French in 1950, who abandoned their bid in favour of Annapurna I,ironically it was the very last 8,000 meter peak in Nepal to be climbed. Seven Expedition attemped Dhawalagiri,including one sponsored by president person of Argentina ,but it was not until 1960 that a massive swiss attempt was sucessful via the North east spure . supplied by a small glacier plane piloted by Ernst Saxer ,The Expedition finally ended the Goldan decade of Nepal;s giants by putting four European and the two sherpas on the summit on 13th May, 1960.

Day 01: Kathmandu (1400m) drive to baglung (740m) by bus

Day 02: Baglung trek to Beni (850m)

Day 03: Beni trek to Babichour (950m)

Day 04: Babichour trek to Darbang (1030m)

Day 05: Darbang trek to Sibang (1720m)

Day 06: Sibang trek to Muri (1840m)

Day 07: Muri trek to Boghara (1990m)

Day 08: Boghara trek to Dobang (2400m)

Day 09: Dobang trek to Chartare (2820m)

Day 10: Chartare trek to Pakabon (3585m)

Day 11: Rest day for acclimatization

Day 12: Pakabon trek to near Glacier (3810m)

Day 13: Glacier trek to Dhaulagiri base camp (4750m)

Day 14: Rest day for Acclimatization

Day 15: Dhaulagiri to french pass (5360m) and trek to Hidden valley

Day 16: Hidden valley to Thapa pass (5230m) and trek to Yak kharka (3990m)

Day 17:Yak kharka trek to Marpha (2667m)

Day 18 : Marpah trek to Kagbeni (2807m)

Day 19: Kagbeni trke to Muktinath (3802m)

Day 20 : Muktinath trek to Jomsom (2743m)

Day 21: Jomsom fly to Pokhara
