Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.
Arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport where you will be picked up by one of the members from Go For Nepal Treks & Expedition. He will move you to the hotel, and also shortly brief you about the day program. In the evening, you will explore colorful streets of Thamel, and have a delicious traditional welcome dinner.
Fly to Lukla (2,850 m) and trek to Phakding (2,660 m).
After a quick breakfast, you will head to the airport to catch a flight to Lukla. The flight will be short and present you the aerial view of snow-capped mountains, forests, and scattered villages. Upon reaching Lukla, you will begin trekking towards Phakding.
From Lukla, you will descend through forested and trek along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding village where you will stay overnight. Phakding will welcome you with a superb view of Kusum Kanguru Peak.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,235 m).
The trail ascends and takes you to Monjo. From here, you will trek through Sagarmatha National Park. The trail will include several ascend & descends through dense forests, crossing several streams and rivers. Passing by small settlement areas, you will reach Jorsale where you will cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and climb to Namche Bazar.
Acclimatization and rest at Namche.
This is your rest day in Namche Bazar. You will spend the day exploring around and going short hike to nearby places like Syangboche Airstrip and Everest View Hotel to observe outstanding views of Himalayan mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Kongde Ri, etc. After the short excursion, you will come back to Namche Bazar and visit the Everest Photo Gallery and Sherpa Culture Museum.
Trek to Tengboche (3,890 m).
Leaving Namche Bazar behind, you will gradually move up through lush forests. On the way, you will pass by Imja Khola and trek through beautiful rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche village. This village will welcome you with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Mt. Everest. Here, you will visit the largest and biggest monastery of the Khumbu region, Tengboche monastery.
Trek to Dingboche (4,910 m).
Crossing several suspension bridges, you will head towards Dingboche. The trail will go through many villages like Pangboche and Orsho. Similarly, you will see several monasteries, mani stones, and chortens on the way. Upon reaching Dingboche, you will witness striking views of snow-capped mountains.
Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m).
From Dingboche, you will hike towards pastures. Today, you will notice a change in vegetation from lush forests to sparsely-dotted shrubs with snowy areas along the way. The trail will take you to Lobuche, a beautiful village located at the bottom of Mt. Lobuche. From Lobuche, you will get to see breath-taking views of Khumbutse Himalayan Peaks, Mt. Lingtern, and Mt. Pumori.
Trek to Gorakshep (5,180 m) and Everest Base Camp (5,380 m) and back to Gorak Shep.
Today, you will reach the main highlight of this trek, Everest Base Camp. You will begin trekking early in the morning. From Lobuche, you will head towards Gorakshep, which once used to be the base camp of Everest. The trail from here goes along Khumbu glacier moraines and take you the EBC. After reaching the base camp, you will see wonderful views of the Khumbu IceFall, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Kongde, Mt. Thamserku, Island Peak, Mt. Cho Oyu, and numerous other mountains. After spending some time at the Everest Base Camp, you will trek back to Gorak Shep.
Trek to Kalapathar (5,545 m) and Pheriche (4,320 m).
After having breakfast, you will go on short excursions to the Kala Patthar viewpoint early in the morning to see a gorgeous sunrise. Also, from Kala Patthar, you can see a 360-degree view of Mt. Everest and its surrounding mountains. After soaking beautiful views, you will descend to Pheriche or night stay.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,435 m).
Following Imja Khola River, you will reach Tengboche village. From here, you will head towards Phungki Thanka. Further, passing through Kyangjuma, you will reach Namche Bazar for the night stay.
Trek back to Phakding and Lukla (2,850 m).
Today, you will retrace the same path as before and drop down to Phakding village. From here, you will ascend through dense forest and reach Lukla.
Fly back to Kathmandu (30 - 35 min).
An early morning flight will take you back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be moved to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to explore the nearby market and do shopping. Later, in the late evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company.
Today as per your flight departure time, you will get transferred to the Airport for your flight back to your home.

Lukla airport is considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world. A thrilling flight from Kathmandu will take you to Lukla, the starting point of Everest Base Camp Trek.
Namche Bazar is the most popular tourist hub of the Khumbu region. This is also the main and the biggest residence area of Sherpas. Similarly, in Namche Bazar, you will find most of the facilities like WiFi, nice cafes & restaurants, luxury lodges, etc.
Located in the Tengboche village, Tengboche monastery is the largest and the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region. In the monastery, you will get to see ancient sculptures, paintings, antique pieces, and manuscripts.
Located at 5,180 meters, Gorak Shep is the original base camp of Mt. Everest. Later, the base camp got moved to 5,364 meters where it is located right now. These days, trekkers pass by Gorak Shep to reach Everest Base Camp. After exploring the base camp, they drop down to Gorka Shep for night stay.

Everest Base Camp Trek difficulty:
Everest Base Camp Trek is a moderate trek in the Everest region. The trail includes many ascends & descend on steep, rugged, and rocky path. You will trek through dense forests crossing several streams and rivers, which also makes the trail tiring. Similarly, on average, you will walk for around 6 to 7 hours a day as well. All of these demands strong stamina, high strength, and good health.For trekking experience, anyone can go on this trek until they are physically fit means prior trekking experience is not necessary. However, make sure to go on a few short hikes before the commencement of the trip.
Altitude Sickness and Prevention:
Everest Base Camp Trek 13-days is a high altitude journey that means there is a risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or altitude sickness. Every day elevation will rise making the air thinner and thinner, that welcomes frequent fatigue and altitude sickness. However, with enough rest days in between the trekking period and proper guidance, one can easily complete this trek.
The best thing to do to avoid altitude sickness is by keeping yourself hydrated. Drink plenty of water and other liquids during the trek. Similarly, carry medicines like Diamox or others to use in case of altitude sickness. If you feel difficulty in breathing inform your guide right away so that he can take proper measures on time.
