• Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.

    After your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will complete all the documentation process. One of our team representatives will welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to relax. In the evening, you will meet with your guide and have a welcome dinner organized by the company.

  • Day 02-3 In Kathmandu preparation for Cho-Oyu Expedition.

    These two days, you will be staying in Kathmandu to prepare for the expedition. You will check all the gears and buy a new one if needed. Your team leader will complete other necessary paper works and visa process. You will also get a chance to visit monuments like Swaymabhunath, Kathmandu Durbar square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, and Patan Durbar Square.

  • Day 04 Drive to Nyalam (3,450 m) via Zhangmu (2,300 m); 6 hrs.

    After having breakfast, you will drive to Nyalam, a Tibetan town. In four hours, you will reach the Kodari border of Nepal. Completing all the passport and visa formalities here, you will head to the entry point where a Tibetan guide and driver will wait for you.

    From here, you will drive to Bhote Koshi upstream and reach Nyalam through a lovely forest of pine and rhododendron. On the way, you will get to see beautiful views of waterfalls.

  • Day 05 At Nyalam free and rest day for acclimatization and local hike.

    Today is your free day in Nyalam for acclimatization. You will go on a short excursion to an old holy cave. Likewise, you will also visit an 11th-century monastery, the monastery of saint Milarepa. You will explore around and get to know the people of this part of the world.

  • Day 06 Drive to Cho-Oyu Base Camp (4,800 m) via Old Tingri; 6 hrs.

    Leaving the main highway, you will drive in the east towards the base camp of Mt. Cho Oyu. During the drive, you will get to witness stunning views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, etc. You will reach the old Tingri. From here onwards, driving on a bumpy road, you will reach the Cho Oyu Base Camp located near Nangpa La.

  • Day 07-8 At Cho Oyu Base Camp rest and preparations.

    You will spend a couple of days acclimatizing and preparing for the expedition. The guide will arrange all the gears and give you basic training of mountaineering. He will brief you about the path and all the possible dangers.

  • Day 09 Climb to Advance Base Camp at (5,800 m); 5 hrs.

    After two days rest, you will begin ascending towards the Advance Base Camp located at the foot of Nangpa La Pass. You will gradually move up following the lead of your team leader. All of the gears and other necessities will be carried on yaks and managed by the porters.

  • Day 10 Rest and preparation for the climb of Cho-Oyu at (8,201 m/26,906 ft).

    It is another rest day before you finally push towards the summit. You will move around and prepare for the climb.

  • Day 11-25 Ascent of Cho-Oyu from North Col (15 days climb to the summit top).

    In the coming few days, you will gradually move towards the summit of Mt. Cho Oyu. Before reaching the summit, you will establish two camps, Camp I at 6,400 meters and Camp II at 7,100 meters. Crossing scree slope, serac barrier, and huge crevasses, you will reach the summit. After spending some time at the summit, you will descend back to Advance Camp.

  • Day 26-27 Descend to base camp.

    In the next two days, you will descend to the base camp. You will be following the same route as before.

  • Day 28 Pack up and cleaning the base camp.

    This day is set apart so that you can pack up everything and clean the base camp before heading back. You will dispose of the garbage at the proper site or take back with yourself to Kathmandu to get it to dispose of nicely.

  • Day 29 Drive back to Zhangmu (1,700 m); 6 hrs.

    Today, you will drive back to Zhangmu. Passing by Laylung Pass (5,050 m) while enjoying impressive views of snowy mountains, you will descend to Nyalam. From here, you will drive by forest and waterfalls, and reach Zhangmu.

  • Day 30 Drive to Kathmandu via Kodari; 6 hrs.

    After a warm morning breakfast, you will complete your passport and visa formalities, and head to Friendship Bridge that separates Tibet and China with Nepal. Saying bye to your Tibetan guide and driver, you will drive back to Kathmandu via Kodari. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will head to the hotel and rest for the day.

  • Day 31-32 Free day in Kathmandu to submit expedition report at concern department.

    You will have two free days in Kathmandu if there will be no delays during the expedition. You will short your gears and the team leader will report expedition to the concerned department. You can spend the day exploring around Kathmandu valley, doing the shopping, and eating delicious food.

  • Day 33 Transfer to International Airport for flight homeward bound.

    With a heart full of memories, you will head back to your home today. One of our team members will drop you at the terminal gate for your flight back to your home.
