You should know the seasonal variations of visiting in Nepal and you must choose best season to travel in Nepal, then only you can get majestic experience of natural and artificial beauty of this country. Basically, March to May and October to November are considered as the best seasons to travel in Nepal. In general, there are 4 different seasons in Nepal. Winter (December, January and February)

Though, December and January offer good visibility, trekking in high altitude can be difficult due to the severe cold at this time. If you can tolerate cold, it is also quite good time for you to trek in Nepal. Obviously, the days are dry and cold. Trekking routes seem to be quite and peaceful due to few trekkers. It seldom rains, but snows will be all the time during the season. Nevertheless, the trekking is still doable. But climbing peaks is not possible in winter.

Spring (March, April and May)

March to May is one of the best season to trek in Nepal. It offers remarkable views of Himalayas. Blossom of rhododendron and greenery of alpine forest makes your journey joyful. In this time, trekking routes will be full of trekkers and popular cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan etc will be full of tourists. Normally, weather of tropical region of Nepal has humidity and quite warm in this season. So that it is perfect for trekking in mountain, river rafting, jungle safari etc adventure activities.

Summer (June, July and August)

It is very hot and humid time. When it rains, there might be floods in the river. The temeratures in the lowland terai would be 35 degree celsius above where around 30 degree in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Nevertheless, tours are still possible here. Generally, rafting and kayaking is not suitable because of floods in the river.

Autumn (September, October and November)

Autumn is the most preferable season for trekking in Nepal. Cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara would be full of tourists. This season is suitable for every adventure activities like Trekking, Climbing, River Rafting, Paragliding etc. The sky would be crystal clear whole day which makes stunning views of mountains. Everest Base Camp Trekking, Round Annapurna Trekking, Annapurna Base Camp Trekking etc. are popular choice of trekkers in Autumn.
